5th Annual GNGG Invitational
Sixty girls from the tri- state area attended the 5th Annual Greater Newark Girls Golf Invitational at Galloping Hill Golf course. For many of the younger girls it was the first time they participated in a golf tournament. The Invitational highlights the experience of participating in a tournament and not the competition itself. The girls heard three distinguished presenters at the luncheon: Mrs. Kamille Ramos, Director of Diversity and Talent Acquisition for the USGA, Johanna Gavin, Director of the New Jersey State Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Foundation and Debra O’Connell, PGA professional and Co-Site Director of the Greater Newark Site. We welcomed a new sponsor for the Girls Golf Invitational. The Golftwin, (www.golftwin.com) a company created by twins that believes in giving back to junior golf, by giving girls golf items that provide a reflection of themselves.
